Introducing Guilford Chiropractor Dr. James Pierson

I didn't experience a miracle.........
Unlike most chiropractors, I was not introduced to chiropractic through a miracle cure or traumatic injury. I just had a genuine desire to help people get out of pain and live healthier lives. I saw chiropractic as one of the best vessels to do that.
Having worked in other health related offices, I saw the aftermath that drugs and surgery could wreak on the human form, and I was motivated to find a way to help with out either of those means. Though helped tremendously by chiropractic as a youth, I would not consider any of my cases to be miracles. However, the 1st office I worked in after graduating from chiropractic school brought one bit of amazement after another. We saw cases involving everything from toddlers "potty problems" to insomnia resolve under chiropractic care
I attended Sacred Heart University for my undergraduate studies, and from there moved to the other end of the street to the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic. The education I received there provided me with great clinical skills and confidence to know I can handle any chiropractic case that comes through the door.
Obviously most people who seek chiropractic care do so to relieve some kind of ache, pain or other infirmity. For people who ONLY want relief from these issues, we're happy to provide that for them. However, the chiropractic wellness lifestyle can offer you and your family so much more! Our general philosophy is to make sure our patients and their families, eat, move, and think properly, and by doing so are less apt to end up in pain, and experience other health problems.

I was raised in Plymouth, MA (That's right, the Rock, the Mayflower, the 1st Thanksgiving, etc.). My Mom, Dad, Sister and 5 yr old nephew still live there, and I try to get back as often as possible. I moved to Connecticut to begin my undergraduate studies. Over the years I have developed a great network of friends and have met people from all walks of life. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, doing everything from going to the movies (I am a movie junky!!) or the gym to traveling all over the country. My hobbies include automobiles, cooking, spending time in the great outdoors, and relaxing.
Many people ask, "Do you adjust yourself?" and my answer is always a definitive "NO". I don't recommend anyone try it either. I am a firm believer in role modeling and "walking the walk" so to speak, so I get adjusted once a week (sometimes twice), work out @ least 4 times a week, and try to eat as healthy as possible and stay clear of unhealthy habits. Along with meditation and relaxation techniques, I consider my lifestyle to adhere to my eating well, moving well, and thinking well, philosophy.
Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give our office a call, or e-mail us with the link below, so we can help you take your first step towards better health and wellness.
